We are diversity enthusiasts and this is our story.
Born respectively in Italy and Kosovo, we both moved to France almost ten years ago. Our paths crossed in high school; it was a friendship crush right away. We shared so much in common, including our love for diversity and cultures.
Years later, our friendship has become closer and stronger than ever, as has our love for diversity. We were both overly affected by the hatred and evil in this damaged world. Often judged for choosing to wear the hijab (head covering), for wanting to become a Muslim, for being of mixed ethnicity, for loving someone outside of our race, for being immigrants and minority; judged for being different and being ourselves, we have decided to make "different" be "unique" and appreciated.
Driven by the desire to make this world more inclusive and accepting of differences, we decided to start our "Diversity Enthusiast" initiative on Instagram a few months ago.
Our goal is to bring humans of all ethnicities, backgrounds and interests together. We dream of a world with no violence, no racism and no hatred; a world where every human life is valued and appreciated for their unique contributions and differences; a world where you can be yourself - without fear or shame.
We believe that all together, we have the power to break down barriers, inequalities and stereotypes that reign in today's world. We can all contribute, on our scale, to changing mentalities and building a more positive future for humanity. By increasing awareness and understanding of cultures and individuals, we aim to create a more colourful and bright tomorrow for our future generations.
